Before cutting any paper, I planned this Simple Handmade Valentine’s Day Card in Cricut® Design Space. This tool is a game-changer for visualizing designs and experimenting with placement before diving into the crafting process.
1️⃣ Build the Base – The Foundation of Love!
The card base was crafted from Stampin’ Up! Basic White Thick cardstock, folded into a standard A2 size. This sturdy foundation provides a clean canvas for layering.
Start with Stampin’ Up! Basic White Thick cardstock for the base—because a strong love story deserves a strong foundation, right? 😉
💡 Pro Tip: Use a bone folder to get that crisp fold—creases matter!
2️⃣ Layer Like a Pro – Creating a Bold Centerpiece
This card is all about layers & contrast!
✔ Cherry Cobbler panel (4.25” x 2.5”) → This rich, deep red is pure Valentine’s Day perfection.
✔ Basic White panel (4.25” x 1.75”) → The perfect space to stamp your sentiment.
✔ Smoky Slate strips (4.25” x 0.25”) → A simple but game-changing detail that frames the sentiment beautifully!
