Today, I’m excited to share a snapshot of pure friendship captured during a delightful fall adventure at the pumpkin patch. Despite the frown on the little man’s face, it was a day filled with joy—from petting zoo visits to indulgent treats and fun rides. But let’s dive into how a challenging moment turned into a scrapbooking opportunity with the “Cozy Up” collection from Close To My Heart.
The Story Behind the Frown
Our fun-filled day under the Vegas sun was cut short by the midafternoon heat, which led to little man’s frown when we had to leave. Yet, this moment became the centerpiece of a memorable scrapbook layout!
Crafting Challenge Turned Opportunity:
Initially, I faced a dilemma: my stash only had scraps left, not enough for my original layout design. But, as often happens in our crafting adventures, necessity sparked creativity.
Creative Solution with the Cozy Up Digital Art Kit:
Utilizing the “Cozy Up Digital Art Kit,” I found inspiration in a digital scrapbook page featuring leaves encircling photos. I adapted this idea by resizing the leaves to fit my scraps and then cutting them with my Cricut. This technique allowed me to integrate various paper pieces into a cohesive layout beautifully.
Execution:
With a bit of glue, hand-drawn stitching details, and strategic placement of circles, journaling tags, and photos, the scraps transformed into a stunning 12x12 layout. The rich, warm colors of the “Cozy Up” collection not only enhanced the autumn theme but also complemented the photos perfectly, encapsulating the essence of our pumpkin patch day.
Reflection:
