Quick & Easy Thank You Cards: Multiple Designs Made with Simple Adjustments

Updated: 3 days ago

With the holiday season fast approaching, I wanted to create a set of quick, beautiful cards to express my gratitude to customers. Since I have many to make, I needed a design that was both pretty and easy to replicate. Using Stampin’ Up!’s Regal Winter DSP, Regal Flora, and Autumn Expressions Stamp & Die Bundles, I crafted a collection of stunning cards perfect for showing gratitude this holiday season.

Why I Created These Cards

These cards are simple yet striking, and I can change the look just by switching up the orientation or placement of paper and embellishments, making each one unique.

Here’s how you can do the same—and create multiple variations by making small adjustments to your designs.

Here Are The Materials I Used

Stampin’ Up! Deckled Circle Dies – for layered circles in the card center

Cherry Cobbler & Clear Adhesive-Backed Berries – for a festive touch of sparkle

Coordinating Cardstock – in various colors to complement the designs

Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads – in coordinating shades for sentiments and accents

Brushed Silver & Gold Foil – used for accents like sprigs and dividing strips to transition colors and add a bit of shine

Basic Tools: Paper trimmer, sponge daubers, foam tape, adhesive

Simple Design Variations for Maximum Impact

One of the best parts of these cards is how easily you can adjust the design for a fresh look. By making just a few tweaks, you can create completely new layouts without having to start from scratch.

• Switch the Orientation: A simple flip from vertical to horizontal can make a big difference. Even using the same paper and layout, switching the card’s orientation gives it a new, dynamic look.

Change the Paper Placement: Let’s say your card design has elements A, B, and C in that order. By switching the position of A and C, you’ve created a brand-new design while using the same materials.

Move the Embellishments: Changing where you place your embellishments can also create a different feel. If you usually place accents on the left, try moving them to the right or center to see how the design changes.

Switch to Square Dies: While I used Deckled Circle Dies for layering, using square deckled dies instead adds a different, modern feel to the card, perfect for a fresh, geometric look.

How I Used the Materials

I began by cutting out layered circles with the Deckled Circle Dies for the card center. I chose complementary colors for the back circle and white for the front, creating contrast. Before assembling, I inked the edges of the back circle using Stampin’ Up! Classic Stampin’ Pads in coordinating colors to add depth and dimension.

To add shine and separation between the design elements on a few selected cards, I cut strips from the Brushed Silver Foil and adhered them between the layers of cardstock and patterned paper. This created a polished, elegant transition between colors without overshadowing the overall design.

I then stamped the claimant “Grateful for You” in the center using the Autumn Expressions Stamp Set I adhered the Circle Clusters to the centers of the cards.

The flowers were created using the Regal Flora Stamp and Thin Cut Bundle, which I positioned around the deckled circles, adding texture and interest to the card. I then added silver sprigs for an extra touch of elegance, adhering them around the focal point to balance the card design. The Brushed Silver Foil was a perfect accent for adding sprigs.

Finally, I completed the look with Cherry Cobbler & Clear Adhesive-Backed Berries. They added just the right touch of sparkle to make the cards feel festive yet understated.

Why These Cards Are Perfect for Gratitude

These cards are ideal for expressing gratitude, not just for the holidays, but for any occasion where you want to show appreciation. They’re easy to replicate yet can be customized to feel personal for each recipient. Plus, the versatility of the Stampin’ Up! Regal Winter DSP and coordinating cardstock allows you to use a wide range of color combinations for different occasions.

Pro Tips for Design Variations:

Add Layers: For added texture and depth, layer cardstock behind the DSP. This makes the card feel more substantial and polished.

Experiment with Colors: While these cards were designed for the holiday season, you can easily adapt them for any time of year by switching up the color palette. Try using brighter colors for spring or fall-themed gratitude cards.

Incorporate Texture: Adding embossed elements can elevate a simple card, making it look more intricate without a lot of extra work.
