Let me introduce you to my “You Got Me Drumsticks” layout—an entire scrapbook page inspired by a box of Drumstick ice cream cones and made completely from cardstock! That’s right—no patterned paper, no pre-made embellishments, just good old-fashioned cardstock magic!

And before you ask—YES, my little man absolutely inspired this! His pure joy and excitement over Drumsticks during movie night had me cracking up. The expressions on his face? Scrapbook GOLD! That’s when it hit me—why not create a layout that mimics the actual ice cream box?

Paper Choices That Made This Layout So Sweet 🍫🍦

When crafting a food-inspired layout, color is everything! I carefully selected Close To My Heart cardstock shades that matched the iconic Drumstick packaging:

• White Daisy (for the crisp, clean background)

• Shortbread (for that golden cone color)

• Sapphire (for the signature blue box)

• Mocha & Mink (for chocolatey goodness!)

• Candy Apple (for the pop of red on the box)

• Acorn (for extra depth in the cone details)

• Journey (CTMH’s Color of the Year—added for a unique twist!)

The Sweetest Detail? My Son’s Mispronunciation! 😂

Designing the Ice Cream Cones & Box 📦🍦

What’s an ice cream scrapbook layout without ice cream cones? (A tragedy, that’s what! 😂)

I used Cricut Design Space® to find the perfect digital ice cream cone cut files. Then, I carefully cut, layered, and inked each piece to bring the cones to life!

🎨 Pro Tip: Adding ink blending (like Journey Ink on the cones) gives cardstock that extra depth, making your die-cuts look even more realistic!

And just like that… BOOM! The Drumstick box was recreated in scrapbook form! 🤩
