After a long day at work, I wanted to do something fun and relaxing! What’s more fun and relaxing than crafting? I already had this Nature’s Sweetness DSP paper pack on my table from yesterday’s project. Rather than pack it up and pull out a new one (because let’s face it, it’s Friday & I’m lazy like that), I decided to make one more set of festive holiday cards. Not only did I save myself from cleaning up my table from the day before, but I also got to use some scraps, which made the process even more satisfying!
These handmade holiday cards use the same materials and embellishments featured in my “Festive Holiday Cards Tutorial: Inspired by The Disney - Grand Californian Christmas Scrapbook Layout” blog, but with a fresh design twist. If you loved the first set, you’ll adore these too!
Normally, You’d See More Details
If this is your first time here, welcome to This Chick Loves Paper! I usually include all the materials, measurements, and step-by-step instructions in my blog posts. I love sharing the nitty-gritty details to help fellow crafters recreate my projects. But honestly, after today’s long day, I’m a little too tired to do all that again! So, if you’re looking for all the specifics, you can find everything you need in the original blog post where I explain how to make cards like these from start to finish.
Stick around, though—most of my blogs include detailed tutorials, so you’ll always leave with plenty of crafting inspiration!
A Fresh Take on Elegant, Cozy, and Timeless: Handmade Holiday Cards
Unlike the original holiday card designs, these new Elegant, Cozy, and Timeless: Handmade Holiday Cards feature vertical openings and unique circle embellishment clusters. The bold circular focal point was created using the Stampin’ Up! Deckled Circle Dies and draws attention to the sentiment, while the lanterns, poinsettias, and pinecones create a cohesive, festive vibe.
Pro Tip: Circular focal points are perfect for adding balance and emphasis to your card designs. Try experimenting with different shapes or embellishments to create a unique centerpiece! Whether you’re recreating these cards or designing your own, this layout offers endless possibilities for holiday cheer.
