What’s better than a Disney vacation? Going back for a sequel! Our second Christmas trip to Disneyland and another stay at Paradise Pier Hotel—because when you find paradise, you don’t just visit once! 🌊🌴✨

But this wasn’t just any stay—it was filled with tropical vibes, unexpected views, and memories that deserved a scrapbook layout as magical as the trip itself!

So, grab your paper trimmer, warm up that Cricut®, and let’s turn this Disney adventure into a 12x12 masterpiece! 🎨📸

🌟 “A Room with a View”… Sort Of!

Okay, let’s clear this up before you get too jealous—this wasn’t the view from our room. This was the stunning hallway view leading TO our room! 😂 But guess what? We weren’t even mad.

Why? Because our actual view had a little secret perk…

👉 A direct line of sight to the hot tub! 👀♨️ Yep, we had the ultimate hot tub surveillance system. No need to wonder if it was crowded—just peek out the window! Best. View. Ever.

Because let’s be real—who needs a park view when you can strategically time your hot tub relaxation sessions like a pro?!

🌴✨ Step-by-Step: How I Created This Magical Scrapbook Layout

1️⃣ The Shiplap Background: Coastal Vibes, Activated! 🌊

Creating the perfect shiplap background using White Willow cardstock and a CTMH Linen Ink Pad. Beachy vibes, check!
Creating the perfect shiplap background using White Willow cardstock and a CTMH Linen Ink Pad. Beachy vibes, check!

The Paradise Pier Hotel may be Disney, but it’s got that classic California boardwalk feel—so I knew a shiplap background was a must!

I scored White Willow cardstock, then swiped it with CTMH Linen Ink to create those beachy, textured planks.

🌟 Pro Tip: Let the ink fully dry before layering your papers—crisp lines = pro-level perfection!

2️⃣ Layering the Foundation: Depth, Dimension & Disney Magic!

Layering patterned and solid cardstocks for depth and dimension—Disney tropical perfection in the making!
Layering patterned and solid cardstocks for depth and dimension—Disney tropical perfection in the making!

The base layers were built with a mix of:

✅ Otterly Adorable DSP (because Disney charm is a must!)

✅ Pretty Peacock & Lagoon cardstock (for contrast)

✅ White Willow shiplap background (to pull it all together!)

🌟 Pro Tip: Mixing patterned & solid cardstock creates a balanced, polished design!

3️⃣ Adding the Tropical Embellishments: Flowers, Leaves & Pops of Pink! 🌺

Stampin’ Up! Happy Hibiscus dies and stamped flowers bring this layout to life with pops of tropical color.

Nothing says “Disney meets the tropics” like lush florals & greenery!

🔹 Stamped hibiscus flowers in Pretty Peacock, Glacier, and Lagoon onto White Willow cardstock.

🔹 Die-cut leaves from Old Olive & Garden Green cardstock, with edges inked in Old Olive.

🔹 Mini hibiscus flowers die-cut from Melon Mambo cardstock for that perfect pop of pink!

🌟 Pro Tip: Add depth to leaves by inking the edges & using a darker marker on the embossed lines. Instant dimension!

4️⃣ Matting the Photos: Make Those Memories Shine

Double-matted photos in Pool Party and White Willow cardstock keep the tropical theme cohesive.
Double-matted photos in Pool Party and White Willow cardstock keep the tropical theme cohesive.

Each photo was double-matted in Pool Party & White Willow cardstock, ensuring a cohesive, polished look that complements the tropical theme.

🌟 Pro Tip: Double matting elevates your photos and makes them pop off the page!

5️⃣ Titles & Focal Points: Let’s Get Layered!

Deckled Circle Dies frame the layout’s titles and embellishments, adding the perfect focal points.
Deckled Circle Dies frames the layout’s titles and embellishments, adding the perfect focal points.

Using the Deckled Circle Dies, I created title clusters in Old Olive & White Willow. These circles anchored the layout’s embellishment clusters and date tags.

🌟 Pro Tip: Repeating shapes (like circles!) throughout your layout creates a harmonious, cohesive design!
