Today, I'm thrilled to share a scrapbook layout that's not just about Halloween but about unleashing creativity with any theme you love. This layout, inspired by a last-minute werewolf costume that turned heads, showcases how you can transform any set of papers into a festive memory catcher.
Versatility in Scrapbooking:
Before joining Close To My Heart, my crafting resources were limited, and I heavily relied on Design Space®️ and my trusty Cricut®️ for creating titles and embellishments. This approach proved not only effective but also incredibly versatile. I used the same layout design for different themes, including a memorable Captain America page!
Layout Details:
The layout requires three types of paper, which can be a mix of patterned paper and cardstock, tailored to fit any occasion. It accommodates three photos, each double-matted in white and purple—the latter matching the primary cardstock used for the page background.
Designing the Layout:
Using Design Space®, I crafted and then print-and-cut the main title, "Beware…" along with smaller embellishments that added thematic flair. To make the page more dynamic, I included sub-titles under each photo, reading "Werewolf on the Loose," which helped tie the entire narrative together visually by drawing the eye across the page.
A Memorable Halloween:
The layout commemorates an evening of fun where my son, dressed in a werewolf costume made from thrifted and creatively distressed clothing, enjoyed trick-or-treating with his cousins. The homemade costume was a hit, earning him an impressive candy haul and making the evening one to remember!
