Crafting Disneyland Christmas Coffee Memories with a Festive 12X12 Scrapbook Layout - Materials Used

Combining products from Close To My Heart (CTMH) and Stampin’ Up!, here’s what you’ll need for this layout:

Cardstock:

• CTMH: Pine, Scarlet, and White Daisy

• Stampin’ Up!: Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Basic White (crossover colors)

Stamp Pad Ink Colors :

• CTMH: Scarlet, Mocha, and Mink

• Stampin’ Up!: Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Gray Granite (crossover colors)

Stamps and Dies:

• CTMH: “Hug in a Mug”

• Stampin’ Up!: “Golden Greenery,”

• Stampin’ Up! “Poinsettia Petals,”

• Stampin’ Up! “Late Love”

Tools and Accessories:

• Misti stamping tool or Stampin’ Up! Blocks

• Adhesive/tape runner, glue, and foam tape

Prepping the Layout

At this point, we are prepping our layout and embellishments. We are not adhering anything to the page.

Stamping and Die-Cutting:

1. Hug in a Mug:

Stamp and die-cut candy canes (Scarlet), whipped cream, and marshmallows (Mink). Die cut 2 mugs in Pine Cardstock.

2. Die-Cuts Only:

• Stampin’ Up!: “Golden Greenery,”

Die Cut 4 pine branches (Pine)

• Stampin’ Up! “Poinsettia Petals,”

Die Cut 6 small poinsettias (Scarlet). You will need two poinsettia pieces glued in the center to create 1 flower.

Titles and Embellishments:

1. Design Space®️:

Create titles using the “Million Dreams” font in Pine with a Sage outline, plus 3 small gingerbread men. The gingerbread men must be small enough to fit on the front of the mug. About 1 x 1 1/2.

*Instead of Gingerbread Man, stamp a snowflake, heart, Santa face, or any other Christmas theme on your mug.

2. Print and cut with your Cricut®️.

Once you have created your titles and have selected the gingerbread men you want to use, print and cut with your Cricut®️. Use foam tape to add dimension to the titles.

Assembling the Page

1. Stamping:

Stamp images from the “Late Love” stamp set in Mocha ink on the right-hand side of your White Daisy cardstock.

2. Decorative Strip:

Cut a 1/4-inch strip from the “A Little Latte” DSP as a decorative transition between the plain paper and stamped images.

3. Pine Strip:

Cut a 1/4-inch strip from the Pine cardstock and place it on the far left side of your layout.

4. Matting:

Double mat your 4x6 photo and 4x5 journaling space with Pine and White Daisy cardstock. Position your photos on the page.

5. Titles:

Add Christmas coffee to the top left of the layout. Add Ghirardelli Chocolate under the journal mat.

Adding the Embellishments

Remember, we are not adhering to the page. We are simply laying them on the page to see how they look.

1. Left Cluster:

Arrange, a mug, gingerbread man, whipped cream dollop, marshmallows, candy canes, poinsettia, and two pine branches to the bottom left-hand side of the page.

2. Right Cluster:

Arrange a mug, gingerbread man, whipped cream dollop, marshmallows, two candy canes, and a poinsettia next to the journaling space.

3. Title Cluster:

Arrange a poinsettia, pine branches, and a gingerbread man at the end of the main Christmas Coffee title.

Depth, Dimension, Character & Charm:

Now that we have everything https://www.stampinup.com/products/latte-love-photopolymer-stamp-set-english?demoid=2298803on our page, we can see where to add depth, dimension, character, and charm. This is also where you add your “style” and make the page your own! Here are some design tips:

Ink Up Edges:

Inking the edges of your cardstock and die cuts adds a subtle shadow and depth, making each element stand out.

• Add Color Under Your Clusters:

Blending a bit of color under your clusters helps to anchor them on the page and creates a cohesive look.

• Add Sparkle:

1. Use a colored shimmer brush to splatter around your cluster or the entire page with a clear shimmer.

2. Applying embossing powder when stamping your embellishments (whipped cream, marshmallows, candy canes).

3. Adding gems to the center of your poinsettias and around your clusters. I used Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon.

• Add Snow:

Apply snow effects to your poinsettias, pine branches, or both for a wintry touch.

• Add Shadows:

Using a light gray marker, outline some folds or creases in your embellishments and blend with the Stampin’ Up! Blends Color Lifter.

• Pop Up Embellishments:

Use FOAM ADHESIVE STRIPS or Dimensionals, pop-up embellishments add depth and dimension.

• Add Additional Sprigs

These are just a few examples. You can add a few or all of them and create a layout that’s uniquely yours!

Journaling

You can write the mat or draw your lines and then write. I have big writing so I like to space my lines 1/2 inch apart. If you have smaller writing or a lot to write about, try spacing your lines closer together.

Another option is to use the clear Avery shipping labels. You can type your journal, print and then cut your label to fit the size of the journaling mat.

Adhering to the Page

Once everything is ready and positioned back on your page, adhere to the page using your adhesive runner and glue.

Conclusion
