Autumn Scrapbook Layout Using Stampin’ Up! Sweet Days of Autumn DSP

Updated: 2 days ago

Autumn is here, and what better way to capture those special pumpkin patch moments than with a fall-themed scrapbook layout? I recently created a six-photo layout of my little man’s school field trip titled “Pumpkin Patchin’” using the new Stampin’ Up! Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper and Autumn to Remember Two-Tone Cardstock. The warm autumn tones and fall embellishments—scarecrows, hay bales, corn stalks, and sunflowers—truly bring out those cozy fall vibes. Let’s dive into how you can recreate this beautiful autumn scrapbook layout!

Here’s What You’ll Need For Autumn Scrapbook Layout Using Stampin’ Up! Sweet Days of Autumn DSP: Capture Fall Memories

Designing the Layout in Design Space®️

I use Design Space for almost every scrapbook layout and card I create. This tool ensures that I can visualize the entire layout before making any cuts. Design Space helps me set precise sizes for photos, titles, and embellishments, making the process much more efficient.

But it goes beyond that—I also use it to save my layout designs. This way, I can always refer back to them and make minor tweaks to create new layouts without having to start from scratch. Whether I’m creating a scrapbook page or a card, it’s incredibly helpful to have everything pre-planned and ready to cut, making crafting both time-saving and fun.

For this layout, I created the title, “Pumpkin Patchin’,” using Cricut’s print-and-cut feature. This added a professional touch to the project while also ensuring that I knew the exact size and placement for the DSP and cardstock before making any cuts.

I’ve created a printable PDF along with the photos from this project for easy access. Feel free to download the PDF for personal use. However, please remember to follow the Angel Policy: do not reproduce or share the PDF or photos on social media or other platforms. If you’d like to share the project, please do so by linking directly to this page. Thank you for respecting these guidelines!

Hay Bale SVG:

I didn’t have a hay bale stamp in my collection, so I turned to an SVG for this element. When I’m missing an embellishment or stamp, I often look for an SVG file that I can print and cut for my projects.

I found the perfect hay bale SVG on Etsy from a talented seller. You can find the digital file here: Hay Bale SVG on Etsy. This design fits perfectly with my fall theme and adds that extra touch of autumn charm to my layout!

Photo Sizes and Double Matting

This six-photo scrapbook layout features a mix of 4x6 and 3x3 photos, all double-matted using Cajun Craze and Willow White Two-Tone Cardstock. Double matting gives the photos a polished, dimensional look, making them stand out against the autumn-themed paper. I also double-matted the base layout using Sweet Days of Autumn DSP in Cajun Craze and Willow White for extra depth and visual interest.

Creating the Layout

Once I set the measurements in Design Space®️, I began the assembly process:

1. I stamped all the images using CTMH Intense Black Ink on Willow White Two-Tone Cardstock and set them aside to dry.

2. While the images were drying, I cut the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP and Autumn-to-Remember Two-Tone Cardstock to the measurements I had set in Design Space.

3. Once the images were dry, I colored the embellishments with Stampin’ Up! Blends Markers.

4. Finally, I positioned everything on the layout, and once satisfied with the placement, I adhered to the elements using foam tape for dimension and adhesive for the flat pieces.

Journaling

Typically, I use a photo mat or the bottom right-hand corner space for journaling, but for this layout, I decided to change things up. I left the top right-hand corner of the layout for journaling, adding a fun twist to the design. This space allows for personal notes or a special memory to be added later.

Final Thoughts

Crafting with these autumn-inspired products brought this pumpkin patch scrapbook layout to life. The Autumn to Remember two-tone cardstock and the Sweet Days of Autumn DSP work together seamlessly, offering endless possibilities for any fall scrapbook layout. I’m already planning my next fall-themed crafting project using these versatile materials!
